Develop Your Power of Persuasion and Influence
Most everyone has experienced the effect of the “boss” or someone who is in a position of power and who has the authority to demand our responses and actions. However, we all know that in those cases, we tend to do only what is necessary and perhaps not our best work. On the other hand, when someone convinces and inspires us and we feel that we are benefiting from responding to it with agreement and commitment, we have experienced persuasion.
So, what about the rest of us, who are not in a position of power, and yet need to “nudge” and persuade teammates or peers in a direction that we are convinced leads to success?
Our ability to persuade and influence others may be the difference in their responding positively or not. The ability to persuade and influence is critical to our success and this course will show you the path. Know also that whenever you persuade or influence, you are exerting leadership, whether you have a formal position or not, and when you do it correctly, both you and your receivers benefit from your ideas and actions.
