How to Develop and Deliver a Leadership Story

Even before recorded history, stories told orally around the campfire were the primary mode for teaching, motivating, persuading, and indoctrinating others. For each of us, from our earliest remembrances, “Once upon a time…” signaled the beginning of a remarkable journey that a story-teller would use to transform those who listened.

Today, successful business, leaders, managers, and all effective communicators know that their day-to-day success in communicating with peers, employees, customers, clients, vendors, and all associates is directly enhanced by their ability to use the principles of storytelling to convey or sell their position, ideas, and direction. Storytelling is a critical technique whether selling a product or service, convincing others the value of a new business decision, motivating others to action, communicating change, or compelling them to embrace something that they inherently otherwise might resist.

This course will help those in all areas of business from official leaders to all employees to understand the power of storytelling, the key components of a story, and how to effectively use storytelling to achieve their business objectives. Additionally, it will help them learn and implement the elements of storytelling, as well as focus on the techniques of becoming an effective storyteller.
