Myers Briggs Type Indicator® (mbti)
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) is a widely used personality type assessment tool worldwide. The MBTI is an easy-to-understand method of building strong emotional connections at home and at work, based on research by psychologist Carl Jung. In addition to helping us learn about different types of people we encounter, it helps us learn how we work as individuals.
Benefits of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator assessment tool
When we use the MBTI, we are able to identify our own personality type, which helps us to embark on our own self-development journey. Through what we learn, we become more aware of ourselves and more accepting of ourselves, as well as understanding how we work as individuals. By extension, we learn how to work together better as teams. MBTI can be used alone or in conjunction with the Personal DISCernment® Inventory (PDI®) or EQ-i 2.0 assessments.
Make sense of the random
The MBTI personality inventory allows practitioners to discover that the seemingly random variations in the behavior of individuals is actually quite orderly and consistent, being due to basic differences in the ways individuals prefer to use their perception and judgment.
Strengthen teams
Both individuals and groups benefit from the assessment of their MTBI and when properly coached, they become more effective and productive. Understanding each other’s results can help avoid and resolve interpersonal conflicts and identify individual strengths and weaknesses.
Improved communication
Using your MBTI results, you can improve communication skills, create more cohesive workplace relationships, and increase your emotional intelligence. See our EQ-i 2.0 assessment information for more details on emotional intelligence.
Create a better career plan
With the greater sense of self-awareness found by understanding your MBTI personality type, you develop a career path that best suits who you are and how you can put yourself in a position to deliver the greatest value to yourself and your company.
